![]() Birk had only found out about his departure from a radio interview with the band. After some appearances, among others together with Exodus and Slayer, Birk and Powell left the band again. The band then consisted of bassist Brian East, drummer Dan Finch III, guitarists Chris Logue and Kenny Powell and singer John Birk. ![]() In 1983 the self-financed EP The Dominatress was released via Metal Blade Records. At the time, John Birk joined the band as the new vocalist, while Kenny Powell was added as a new guitarist. This was followed by appearances together with Exodus, Abattoir and Armored Saint. ![]() The song Scepters of Deceit from this demo was heard in the same year on the compilation Metal Massacre II. In the summer of 1982, the band recorded a first demo under their new name Savage Grace, with Dwight Cliff as the new singer. The band was founded in 1981 under the name Marquis De Sade and consisted of guitarist Chris Logue, bassist Brian East, drummer Dan Finch III and singer Kelly Rhoads, brother of Randy Rhoads who died a year later.
